Fully automated feeding of material bars through the spindle of the lathe and straight to the clamping device. PROFImat technology guarantees precise turning at high speeds through the closed guide channel (oil flow) and the corresponding spindle insertion tube.
 The oil flow creates a hydrodynamic cushion that stabilises the cutting circle and it bridges intermediate sizes. The material bars are automatically guided ensuring they are at the centre. Fraction is very low and the rods are vibration-free. This means that less weight rests on the machine spindle. The guide channels are lined with highly wear-resistant and vibration-reducing plastic.

  • Space-saving feeding technique

    The bar stock feed is carried out in two stages. The load is controlled by a short pusher while being inserted into the spindle filler tube of the lathe. A pusher rod, made to fit perfectly into the guide channel, assumes the step-by-step positioning of the material bar in the clamping device. Positioning can be done either against a limit stop on the turret (R version) or by the material pusher itself (PR version). When the clamping device is opened, the load is checked and
    pushed on without delay.

    Shortest times for bar changes

    The remnants are disposed through the spindle into the chip compartment (optional remnant retraction to the rear). While the last work piece is still being processed, a new bar from the storage rack is added to the guide channel and the short pusher is positioned on the spindle end of the machine.

    Drive and control:

    With a specially designed servo drive, feed force and feed rate can be controlled independently of each other. The positioning device guarantees secure positioning of the bar in the working space of the lathe. A pool of tested interfaces for a quick connection to the lathes from renowned manufacturers is available. This reduces the work required for installation and commissioning. For inquiries or orders, please make sure you specify the exact type of machine and its year of construction.

The continuous oil flow and the highly wear-resistant plastic lining of the guide channels offer an optimum balance of smooth running and relief of the machine spindle. In addition, the material bar is guided by a custom-fit centring steady rest

  • Space-saving feeding technique

After opening of the clamping device, the material bar is passed by the material pusher. This is matched to the guide channel being used. Positioning can be done either against a limit stop on the turret or by the material pusher itself. (only for magazines with PR equipment)

    Shortest times for bar changes

    The remnants are disposed through the spindle into the chip compartment (optional remnant retraction to the rear). While the last work piece is still being processed, the separating device adds the next bar from the storage rack to the guide channel. The short pusher pushes the bar into the waiting position.
